A Designer Was Born
As a baby, Heather would cry if her diaper didn’t match her onesie. As a toddler, her coloring remained impeccably within the lines from the moment she picked up a crayon. And as a 3rd grader, Heather was typing 80 wpm on her school’s first color monitored Mac. While her friends gave her a hard time about being meticulous about keeping her Barbies in order and the fact that all of her snow gear was color coordinated, Heather knew her attention to detail and desire for consistency would someday come in handy. After finding a profession where clutter is shunned and the neurosis with aesthetics is commended, she knew she found her calling.
Poly, paper, pallettes
Heather attended the California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo and received her BS in Graphic Communication—as well as her passion for print, paper and typography. Post graduation she worked as an in-house designer for a number of years while siumultaneously building her clientele. Through the variety of freelance projects she took on, Heather discovered that she had quite the diverse design pallette, a strong interest in branding, and the incredible ability to run off of 3 hours of sleep.
When she isn’t incessantly pressing ⌘-z, Heather's hands can be found on the handlebars of her road bike, on her yoga mat, or grasping her latest read. In her perfect world, everyone would say "please" and "thank you," Zapfino would be banned from use, and she would no longer write about herself in the third person.
